Austin K30, 30-cwt (1½-ton), 4x2, GS
A few batches of the 500 British Austin trucks, delivered to Russia from late 1941 to 1942, were Austin K30s.
The one shown here is a later model, with the same closed civilain-type cab as the Austin K3/YF and large single rear tires instead of the previous dual rears.
The latter gave the truck a fairly good performance even on worse roads, not so uncommon on the Eastern Front.
Note:
Though not proved by wartime photos, the markings shown here were common practice on many Russian trucks, the slogan "Za Stalina!" meaning "For Stalin!".
