Austin K3/YF ("Ostinov"), 3-ton 6x4, General Service
Among the first truck deliveries to the Soviet Union in late 1941 and 1942 was a substantial amount of the Austin K3/YF..
Like the Albion BY3N, it was a typical member of the British early-war 6x4 3-ton truck class, fitted with the standard WD rear bogie.
As with the Austin K30 4x2 1.5-ton, the initially installed open cab with canvas roof and sides was soon replaced by the closed civilian-type one.
Additionally to its crew of 2, the K3/YF could carry up to 24 fully-equipped soliders.
In 1942, it was superseded by the Austin K6 3-ton 6x4 as well as by the 2-axle K3 4x2.
