Autocar U-8144T, 5-6-ton, 4x4, Pontoon Tractor According to »US War Department, Quantities of Lend-Lease Shipments«, a total of 42 5-6-ton 4x4 Pontoon Tractor trucks were delivered to the USSR under the Lend-Lease Act. With the large box behind the cab containing installation tools, the U-8144T were designed to tow bridging equipment semi-trailers.
Whether the few samples delivered were actually used in this role, is unknown and a matter of further historical research. |
