GMC CCKW-353, 2½-ton, 6x6, Steel Cargo Body
The GMC CCKW-35x, better known as "Deuce-and-a-Half" or "Jimmy", was the standard medium truck in the U.S.Army throughout the war.
Out of more than half a million produced from 1941 on,
  • with all kinds of bodies,
  • with the short 145in. wheelbase of the CCKW-352 and the long 164in. wheelbase (as shown here),
  • with open and closed cab,
  • with (B1 (side view) and B2 (front view), as shown here) and without winch,
  • with Timken split axle (as shown here on the side view) and Chevrolet banjo axle (as shown here on the front view),
the Russians received only 6,700 pieces through Lend-Lease, almost exclusively of the CCKW-352 type.
In relation to the supply numbers, the GMC was outclassed by the Studebaker US6, but still ahead of the International M-5-6-318.
