Austin K6 ("Ostinov"), 3-ton 6x4, General Service
Among the 500 British Austin trucks, delivered to the Soviet Union in 1942, were a few batches of the Austin K6, of which some were fitted with BM-13-16 "Katiusha" Rocket Launchers.
At least one of these was captured by the Italian 8th Army in the summer of 1942 on the southern front, used against its former owners (!) and relost to them in the winter of 1943.
The K6 superseded the Austin K3 3-ton 6x4 from 1942 on, the total production reaching 15,000 chassis with various body types.
