In relation to the supply numbers, the GMC was outclassed by the Studebaker US6, but still ahead of the International M-5-6-318.
The vehicle shown here respresents an early production type, as is indicated by the "GMC" embleme on the upper brushguard, omitted from July 1942 onwards, the wiper still fixed to the cab instead of the windshield frame, and the all-steel cargo body used until August 1942.
