CGMC M15A1
Combination Gun Motor Carriage M15A1
Among the weapons the Red Army lacked the most during the war were armoured anti-aircraft vehicles.
Once again the »arsenal of democracy« could be helpful as the American industry had successfully combined the halftrack with various multiple and combination gun mounts.
The M15A1 shown here was basically a common M3 Halftrack on which an M54 Mount with one M1A2 37mm gun and two M2HB Machine guns was installed.
However, no more than 100 samples were delivered to the Russian ally, as an even more effective AA weapon existed, the MGMC M17.

Special thanks to Mr. Michael Franz, Germany, for providing precious information.
