Mack NR15
Mack NR15, 10-ton, 6x4, Cargo
The 10-ton cargo truck Mack NR15 was among the last trucks delivered to the USSR before the official Lend-Lease suspension by the Truman administration on VE-Day (Note: The deliveries continued under the so-called »MILEPOST« agreement of May 12,1945, heading mainly to the Russian Pacific ports).

No less than 800 NR15 were supplied via the »Persian Corridor« in 1945.
It can be assumed that they were already hauling supplies through Iran under US Motor Transport service, before being forwarded to the Soviets when the US engagement ceased.

The Mack NR with a total production of 16,000 in 20 different versions (NR1-20), was an excellent workhorse, well powered by a diesel engine and from version NR8 fitted with a soft-cab and 11.00-24.00 tyres (double on rear).

Special thanks to Mr. Thorsten Umbach, Germany, for providing precious informations.
